Taekwondo Adults


Everyone from elite athletes to supermodels have long been touting the benefits of martial arts as a complete body workout.

Allowing you to develop superior upper body strength, quickness and agility, cardiovascular fitness, and improved posture all at the same time, our martial art classes are great for all ages and fitness levels. Our classes focus on specific techniques and drills.

Our Adult Taekwondo classes develops physical and mental coordination, as well as relaxation. The training and exercises you will learn will include the movement of the entire body, keeping you trim, fit and in good health. Besides keeping you physically fit, Taekwondo is very effective in self defence.

Men competing in today’s society will gain confidence to cope with daily problems and situations. It will help release tensions caused by constant pressures and responsibilities. Stamina will be increased and enthusiasm will develop to deal with everyday routines. You will notice the difference, and so will family, friends, and employers.
Women at any age are concerned with how they look and feel and when you feel good you look good.

Our Taekwondo can help achieve that. The movements are graceful and more interesting than repetitive exercise formats. You will gain greater coordination and flexibility and will receive inner peace and balance in daily life. It also can help women feel capable of standing up to a situation, whether a normal activity of one in which defence is needed.

Taekwondo is not a violent activity. Rather than encouraging aggression, it helps each individual channel aggressive energy into socially acceptable forms of friendly competition. The secret to the effectiveness of Taekwondo as taught by Taekwondo Alliance is not about strength, weight, or muscle power, but rather about knowledge of practiced techniques and inner strength.



All our schools offer classes for adults, children, and different ranks. Classes run from Monday through Sunday, and incoporate different programmes, on different days! If you would like to start the process:

INSTRUCTORS – The instructors at Taekwondo Alliance are among the best in the world. Each has been trained for many years of training to get to their own level within the martial arts. Some of our Instructors are leading martial artists within the competition circuit, and hold World, European, British and Scottish titles.

CURRICULUM – We have a challenging curriculum that sets goals and brings out the best in students.  Our curriculum builds the students confidence towards achieving their Black Belt.  There are many levels up to black belt. At every level there are different requirements such as forms, one step sparring techniques, board breaking, sparring (all gear). foot and hand movements based on one’s belt level. Our belt system shows a students increase in knowledge. At Taekwondo Alliance our different belts encourage students motivation and will help them to achieve their goals, whether short or long term.

**Please Note** All official Taekwondo Alliance schools do not have a tab belt system in place, as do some others. Meaning our students do not have to obtain 2 or 3 stripes between belts in order to test (we do not have addiitonal costs). All our students are taught, educated, motivated and monitored daily to ensure they are capable in testing at our quarterly testings in Scotland. **

SPECIAL EVENTS – We always endevour to bring all our members together through extra and external school events. These events will give you the adult, or child some additional excitement to look forward to. Special events include: Associaiton award nights, Black Belt Graduation party, Christmas party, testing activities, fundraising activities, competitions, seminars and more…

Consistent with the unique history and practice of the martial arts, our core curriculum includes high-energy drills designed to build and hone self-control and self-discipline. Through positive coaching we instil confidence and develop skills in relationship building, personal development, manners and protocol as well as building your personal knowledge in maintaining your personal health and fitness.

Staying with your workout can be a real challenge in the typical health club, gym or personal training exercise programs. The group dynamics, professional coaching for each training session, belt ranking and award system can truly make the difference when it comes to sticking with your martial arts training in one of our schools.
